Please read the following before posting openings for staff positions at your convention.

Posting Procedure:
  • There is no charge to post staff openings
  • Staff openings should only be posted by a current staff member of the convention with the opening. Unauthorized postings will be deleted.
  • Start a new thread for each different job title you have open. For example, if you need 5 security staff and 1 webmaster, start two separate threads: one for security, one for webmaster.
  • When the position is full, reply to your post stating so. Forum moderators will then lock the post to indicate that the position is no longer open.
  • If, for some reason, you need to re-open applications on a previously filled position, ask a moderator to unlock the thread for you.
  • A moderator will lock your post when your convention begins. (We assume you're not looking for online applicants while the convention is in progress and will use it as an excuse to keep the forum tidy.) If you wish to re-post positions for the next convention, feel free to do so.

Post Contents:
  • All subject lines should have the convention name and position.
  • Each post should contain a description of the staff position, its responsibilities, and requirements (location, age, etc.).
  • Each post should list (or contain a link to a list of) staff benefits such as free admission, staff T-shirt, etc.
  • Each post should contain an e-mail address or URL where people can apply. People should not be asked to apply by replying to the thread in public. (Applying and acceptance or rejection should really be a private matter.)

Replying to existing posts:
  • Any and all replies to posts must be on the specific topic of that individual job posting. Any questions about other openings, questions about the convention, or other comments about the convention are off topic and belong in a different forum.
  • Off-topic replies will be deleted with no warning.

Only conventions listed in the or database are welcome to post staff openings.

We reserve the right to modify these rules at any time without notice.
